If your Microsoft Teams meeting transcript was generated in the wrong language, AI Recap or AI Minutes in Decisions may not reflect your discussion accurately. If the meeting was recorded, you can regenerate the transcript.
Before You Start
- This process only works if the meeting was recorded. If transcription was enabled without recording, you cannot regenerate a new transcript.
- The transcript is stored in Microsoft Stream, where you will need to correct it.
Steps to Correct the Transcript Language
Step 1: Open the Meeting Recording
- Go to Microsoft Stream and locate your recorded meeting.
- Open Video settings.
Step 2: Delete the Incorrect Transcript
- In Transcript and captions, find the current transcript.
- Click the three dots (⋮) next to it and delete it.
- This will also display the original language used.
Step 3: Generate a New Transcript in the Correct Language
- After deleting the incorrect transcript, an option will appear to Generate a new transcript.
- Select the correct language before proceeding.
Step 4: Wait for Processing and Verify the Transcript
- The transcript may take some time to generate.
- Once completed, review it to ensure it accurately reflects the discussion.
Step 5: Restart AI Recap or AI Minutes in Decisions
- Once the new transcript is available, Decisions AI should automatically pick it up when you restart the AI Recap or AI Minutes process.
