Protect sensitive content by removing guests from chat
By default, Microsoft Teams allows external guests to remain in the meeting chat — even after the meeting ends. That means sensitive content like transcripts, recaps or follow-ups may stay visible longer than intended.
With Decisions, meeting Organizers can now remove guests from chat during the meeting, giving you greater control over post-meeting visibility. Here's how:
- Click the three-dot menu in the Decisions side-panel (in-meeting)
- Select "Manage guests"
- Choose guests you'd like to remove
Coming Soon: Organizers will get proactive reminders — with quick access to guest management — while preparing for or running meetings, making it even easier to keep chat access accurate and secure.
