June 2024 - Product updates

Unveiling shared channel support, a unified application experience, and upgrades to Decisions AI models.

Shared Channels Support Now Available

Shared Channels-1

The first version of Shared Channels support is now live! This update allows users to:

  • Select Shared Channels as a storage location for meetings
  • Share meeting agendas with channel members
  • Log decisions and generate tasks directly within the channel

Current Limitations:

  • Channel meetings aren’t visible in the Channel Tab yet.
  • Storage is not auto-selected for Channel Meetings or meetings selected from the Channel Tab.

Currently, this feature is available only for users of internally shared channels and is not yet optimized for cross-tenant shared channels.

Unified App Experience: Decisions and Decisions AI

Decisions AI

A significant architectural improvement to the platform now offers a streamlined process for enabling and using Decisions AI (formerly MeetingCulture.ai). The platform has transitioned from two separate enterprise apps — Decisions and MeetingCulture.ai — to a single enterprise app.

Key benefits include:

  • Simplified authentication, eliminating the need for multiple sign-ins.
  • A seamless experience across both Decisions and Decisions AI.
  • Data security remains fully intact, following the same high standards.

This update ensures a smoother workflow without compromising on security or data protection.

AI Meeting Minutes: Now Powered by OpenAI GPT-4 Model

The AI Meeting Minutes feature has been upgraded with OpenAI’s latest model and other enhancements, delivering significant improvements in both minute quality and contextual understanding.

New enhancements include:

  • Improved Minute Quality: Meeting minutes are clearer and more relevant, making it easier to capture important takeaways.
  • Better Notes Integration: Enhanced handling of "My Notes" for improved integration within the minutes.
  • Progress Bar: Real-time tracking of minute generation ensures transparency throughout the process.
  • Markdown Support: AI-generated minutes now display headers, bold text, lists, and more in Word and OneNote, improving readability.

These updates ensure that meeting minutes are more accurate, detailed, and user-friendly.

Meeting Recap for Meetings Without an Agenda

Internal attendees now have the ability to generate Meeting Recaps for meetings without a predefined agenda. This update expands the functionality of Meeting Recap, making it easier to capture and share key points from informal or impromptu meetings.

Key Features:

  • Meeting Recaps can be generated and shared via Chat or Email without an agenda.
  • The workflow is designed to simplify the process of documenting and distributing meeting summaries.

Currently, tasks and decisions from these recaps cannot be stored or synced. Future updates will address this limitation.

This update improves accessibility for teams that frequently hold unstructured meetings, offering a streamlined way to document discussions and decisions.

Meeting Book Annotations Now Available for External Members

Previously, Meeting Book annotations were only accessible to internal (in-tenant) users due to a dependency on OneDrive. Now, external members can also take and share annotations within the Meeting Book, expanding the feature’s functionality and collaborative potential.

This enhancement allows external participants to actively engage in meetings by adding their own notes and insights, which can be shared with the group, fostering better collaboration and documentation across all attendees.

Note: Annotations remain a premium feature, and this new external functionality is included as part of that offering.
